Students will design a method that applies various chemistry techniques to separate a mixture by physical means to simulate how a scientist would mitigate contamination in a stream due to run-off.

In this unit of study students learn about sound waves. This unit integrates nine STEM attributes and was developed as part of the South Metro-Salem STEM Partnership's Teacher Leadership Team. Any instructional materials are included within this unit of study.

Students will explore Newton's three laws of motion in different stations that allow them to make observations to determine the concept of each law.

As relief organizations drop supplies in remote areas of need, students will design a device to protect an egg when dropped from a specific height.

Students will investigate different phases of and properties of matter, including mass, volume, density, solubility, and conservation.
