It’s go time! The David Hamilton Jackson and All Ahwe Project, This project has become such a cornerstone of celebrating Jackson’s legacy; it’s about more than just remembering history, it’s about tapping into the social equity conversations we’re still having today. In past years, we’ve seen nearly 200 students pour their hearts into this project, using everything from poetry to art to connect with Jackson’s fight for labor rights and freedom of the press.This exhibition at Cane Roots Art Gallery has become the place where our students can show off how they’re not just learning history, but owning it. Whether it’s a poem about equity, a painting about standing up, or a song about justice, they’ve made this project come alive.
