Career and Techncial Education - Perkins V's purpose is to develop more fully the academic knowledge and technical employability skills of secondary and postsecondary students enrolled in CTE programs of study that will increase employment opportunities for special populations and provide individuals with skills needed to keep the United States competitive.

The mission of the State Office of Career, Technical and Adult Education (SOCTAE) is to create a unified education system for Career, Technical and Adult Education, inclusive of cultural diversities, disabilities, trades and skillsets that support an equitable and inclusive academic, career and technical education teaching and learning environment, resulting in a skilled workforce and heightened economic development in the United States Virgin Islands.

CTE Month

Annually, February is CTE Month®. A month organized by the Association for Career and Technical Education (ACTE) to raise awareness of the role that CTE has in readying learners for college and career success. During CTE month we celebrate the accomplishments of the trades men and women and recognize partners in CTE at Federal, State and local levels.
