About me

Presently, I am an Assistant Principal who supervises Third, Fourth, Special Teachers, counselors, monitors, and the kitchen staff. I have been in education for thirty-four years, and this is my twenty-second year in education in the Virgin Islands. I have received several recognition educationally in my career. I was a Teacher of the Year Finalist, received an outstanding award for Teaching Science and Technology from the University of the West Indies, and received a Presidential Award for Excellence in Mathematics and Science Teaching by President Obama. I have written three theses: Using Games and Toys in Teaching Science and Technology, A Comparison of Parents' and Teachers' Perception towards Social Promotion and Retention, and a doctoral dissertation entitled Increasing Fourth Grade Students' Proficiency in solving Mathematical Word Problems.
